Georgia Laing

Georgia began her nursing journey in 2016 in Wellington, New Zealand, completing her Bachelor of Nursing in 2019.

Since graduating, she has built a diverse and well-rounded clinical background, working across multiple specialties including Theatre and Recovery, Postnatal Care, Delivery Suite, and Gastroenterology.

Her passion for supporting women and families led her to establish and run her own Early Pregnancy Clinic, where she provided compassionate care to those experiencing early pregnancy concerns and loss — an area of practice she holds close to her heart.

Georgia’s inspiration to become a nurse came from a single visit to hospital to see a family member. She immediately felt drawn to the energy, teamwork, and sense of purpose within the hospital environment and knew it was where she wanted to build her career.

Georgia has now transitioned to a full-time role with Embrace Anaesthesia & Critical Care Specialists, where she plays an integral part in the coordination and smooth running of surgical services. In her role, she supports the operational and administrative processes that ensure each anaesthetic list is delivered safely and efficiently. She has developed a strong appreciation for the precision, skill, and dedication required in anaesthesia and critical care, and is proud to contribute to a service that prioritises patient safety and excellence.

Outside of work, Georgia is a devoted mum of two. She and her husband spend much of their time on the go — between their four-year-old’s dance classes and their little boy’s rugby training, life is full and busy, just the way they love it.

Georgia brings warmth, empathy, clinical insight, and a strong commitment to patient-centred care to everything she does, making her an invaluable and much-loved member of the Embrace team.
